Heather

Meet

Hello, there! My name is Heather Johnson and I'm an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist. From an early curiosity about human behavior to a career in psychotherapy, I’ve always been passionate about understanding what drives us. Today, I bring that same curiosity into my work with clients, helping them develop insight, self-compassion, and tools for change.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years as a Creative Director, where collaboration, empathy, and problem-solving were essential. I now bring that collaborative spirit into the therapy room—working alongside clients to explore how their past experiences, including attachment and trauma, shape their current patterns of behavior.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders. Together, we identify what matters most to them and build the skills needed to move forward in life with purpose.

I earned my B.S. in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Having come into this field later in life, I offer not just training—but the wisdom and resilience that comes from lived experience. My goal is to be a supportive resource for people navigating life’s hardest moments.
