A silver pen, a blank dotted notebook, and white magnolia flowers on a white surface.

My name is Sophia M. Williams, MSW, ASW, and I bring more than 25 years of experience walking alongside children, young adults, and families through times of change and challenge. Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years in leadership within child welfare, where I focused on building programs that honored the strength and dignity of families while addressing the impact of trauma.

In therapy, I draw on that experience while meeting each person with compassion, curiosity, and respect. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that healing is possible when people feel truly seen and supported.

I especially enjoy working with young adults navigating the transition into independence, as well as with couples who want to strengthen communication, deepen their connection, or rebuild trust. My faith and my own journey as a partner and parent shape how I show up—with humility, hope, and a deep commitment to walking with clients as they take steps toward growth and healing.
